GAV’s DREAM GARAGE - Updated 15th February 2008
In no particular order:-
![]() ![]() |
TVR Griffith / Chimaera Both proper manly British sports cars and amongst the few soft tops a bloke can drive without being considered a hairdresser, or batting for the other side (not that there’s anything wrong with either or those as career or lifestyle choices but they’re not me). They’re simple, effective, look fantastic and have a soundtrack to die for. |
Audi RS4 Avant Completely mental! Monumental power and performance in something that looks almost mundane. It could easily support my other addiction (DIY/Home Improvement) with its estate car load carrying capacity and, well...you’ve got to have a sensible family car haven’t you? |

Jaguar XF SV8 The new face of Jaguar...it’s an absolute stunner and a complete change of direction. This would be my other everyday family car, for when I don’t need the boot space of the RS4. |
Supercharged Aerial Atom The thing I should have had instead of that bike (a tad more expensive though). About as close as you can get to being on two wheels but without the need for a lobotomy. |
Aston Martin DB9 Sheer beauty, a work of art. I wouldn’t even need to drive it...I could just sit and stare. In fact, it would be likely that this would reside in the foyer of my dream house rather than in my dream garage. |
Aston Martin DB9 er...well...I’d have to have one to drive as well. |
Aston Martin V8 Vantage (the 1980s one) The car that first made me stop and stare just because of the noise it made. Britain’s version of the American muscle car, and so much better. |
Aston Martin DB4 Omigod! Just look at it. Cars don't come any more beautiful than this. |

Ferrari 250 GT Lusso The most beautiful Ferrari ever made. |

Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico My Mum had a few Mk1 Escorts and as an 8 year old sitting behind the wheel on our driveway, Scandanavian Flicking my way through an imaginary forest stage with aspirations of being the next Rally Champion, they were Mexicos to me. |
Mk1 Ford Capri 3.1RS in Martini Colours with full works bodykit - One of my all time favourites. |
1978 Pontiac Trans-Am 6.6 Turbo Be honest, who didn’t see Smokey and the Bandit and want one? |
Kia Sorento 2.5CRDi XE Well, let’s face it, if I had this kind of money I’d also have several acres of land to play on and my Sorento would be ideal. I’d probably fit a suspension lift kit and some proper knobbly tyres though. |
Come to think of it, with all that land to spare, I’d also have a handful of Rage Race Buggies for when my mates come round. |
Oh well, dream on.
Gav.
